Position: Biology Teacher

Hours: Full Time ( 8:30-3:30)
Role Overview:
As a Biology Teacher you will be pivotal in delivering high-quality biology education. Your role will involve planning and delivering exciting lessons, assessing student progress, providing personalized support, and fostering a love for biology.
Key Responsibilities:
- Engaging Lessons: Plan and deliver dynamic biology lessons that cater to diverse learning styles.
- Student Assessment: Design and administer assessments, providing constructive feedback.
- Personalized Support: Offer one-on-one and small group support to students who need extra help.
- Resource Preparation: Create and organize teaching materials and interactive activities.
- Classroom Management: Maintain a positive, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment.
- Collaboration: Work with colleagues to enhance the biology curriculum and share best practices.
- Parental Engagement: Communicate with parents about student progress and attend parent-teacher conferences.
- Extracurricular Involvement: Participate in science clubs, competitions, and school events to further student interest in biology.
Qualifications:
- Educational Background: A degree in Biology or a related field.
- Teaching Certification: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) are required.
- Experience: Previous teaching experience is preferred, with a proven track record of effective teaching and student progress.
- Passion for Education: A genuine passion for Biology and a commitment to inspiring and supporting students.
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly and effectively.
- Interpersonal Skills: Ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Adaptability: Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet diverse student needs and learning styles.
- Continuous Learning: Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying updated with educational best practices.
Requirements:
- The right to work in the UK.
- Has or is willing to obtain an Enhanced DBS.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to build positive relationships with students, teachers, and parents.
- Demonstrated commitment to education and personal growth.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
