PE Teacher for a Secondary SEMH provision

We are currently looking for a passionate and supportive PE Teacher to join an all boys secondary SEMH school in Colchester. This is a full time role starting in September. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality PE lessons to students across Key Stages 3 and 4.
  • Use innovative and effective teaching strategies to engage students and enhance their understanding of Physical Education.
  • Assess, monitor, and report on student progress, providing feedback to students and parents as required.
  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that fosters a love of learning and encourages student participation.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and participate in departmental and staff meetings.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of the maths curriculum.
  • Uphold the school's values and policies, promoting a safe and supportive learning environment.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • A degree in Physical Education or a related field.
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Previous experience teaching PE at the secondary school level.
  • Strong subject knowledge and a passion for PE.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to inspire and motivate students of all abilities.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development.
