Job Description
Job Duties:
- Assist in planning and implementing activities to meet the physical, emotional, intellectual, and social needs of children in the nursery
- Provide a safe and secure environment for children to feel comfortable
- Support the development of children's basic skills, including physical coordination, speech, and communication
- Observe, assess, and record each child's progress and share feedback with parents
- Work collaboratively with other nursery staff to ensure a high standard of care
Required Qualifications:
- Level 2 or above qualification in Childcare or Early Years Education
- Valid DBS check
- Up-to-date Paediatric First Aid certificate
Education:
Minimum of Level 2 qualification in Childcare or Early Years Education
Experience:
Previous experience working in a nursery setting
Knowledge and Skills:
- Understanding of child development and early years curriculum
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Basic knowledge of health and safety regulations in a nursery setting
Preferred Qualifications:
- Level 3 qualification in Childcare or Early Years Education
- Additional training in safeguarding children
Working Conditions:
This role involves working with children in a nursery setting, following a set schedule and collaborating with other nursery staff members. The work may require standing for extended periods and occasional lifting of children or equipment.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
